Close Your Eyes and See

April 11, 2017

I created this blog so more and more people find their way towards a life they can design as well as a life that is outside of grief and pain. Outside of a predetermined destiny about life. I believe that we get to create our reality and a lot of us do this by accident because we don’t know we can do this with intention. Could this be a cooperative journey with the Universe? Is it possible to program ourselves to create a life that we want? Imagine if it is, and we have been missing out? Imagine if we can look at the stars and imagine possibilities for our lives. Imagine worlds and destinies. Imagine joy. Love. Partners. Adventures. One day in the future we will experience a paradigm shift. Hopefully in the near future. Where we are aware of our abilities and gifts of creation. Right now we believe that the brush in our hand is not for us to use on the canvas. But for someone else outside of us. One day we will be convinced that we are the ones who control the brush strokes. We are the painters of our paintings. But in order to believe this, we have to paint deeper. We have to journey deep in our consciousness to see what is invisible. To hear what has been unheard for so long. And to believe possible what has seemed impossible. I feel like I want to grab you by the hand and run with you inside your world and show you the beauty you hold within is even more real than what you see in front of you every day. For some reinforcement, I will bring forth one of my favorite authors Bruce H. Lipton. He talks about our world in ways that show us how incredibly fascinating what we see is. And how it is as close to nothing as it can possibly be.   “If it were theoretically possible to observe the composition of an actual atom with a microscope, what would we see? From far away, the atom would likely appear as a blurry sphere. As its structure came nearer to focus, the atom would become less clear and less distinct. As the surface of the atom drew near, it would disappear. You would see nothing. In fact, as you focused through the entire structure of the atom, all you would observe is a physical void. No, there has not been a printing mistake; atoms are made out of invisible energy, not tangible matter! So in our world, material substance (matter) appears out of thin air. Kind of weird, when you think about it. Here you are holding this physical book in your hands. Yet if you were to focus on the book’s material substance with an atomic microscope, you would see that you are holding nothing.” Nothing. This phone you hold in your hands. The words you are reading. The seat you are sitting on. Boom. Nothing. How can it be that this very physical and material world is not what it seems? And yet, no matter how many articles you read like this you will wake up tomorrow morning and you will dismiss this possibility even if it’s based on facts. So please just imagine another possibility. Wake up tomorrow morning and question your reality just a tiny bit. I am not asking you to question your whole existence, of course you can if you want to but just for this, just for today just question something small. Like the trees outside your window. Maybe they are there because you have been told that trees look like this since you were two- years-old and your mind is trained to see this in front of you as a tree and not as something else. Now close your eyes just for a few seconds. Take a deep breath. And see with your eyes closed. See beyond the darkness, beyond the constraints of your brain that reduces you to this seemingly external reality. Allow yourself to witness a world within. Look for the trees inside. Look for yourself there. Just a glimpse is all you need. Beyond the darkness, within yourself, there is a place where you get to create what you see on the outside. Your paint brush. Your canvas is inside of you. Go there every day and come back with a new life for yourself. You know Einstein left us with a lot of insight and wisdom worth considering. He said that the Universe is a whole in which energy and matter are completely and totally entangled. Do not consider them as separate entities. The world inside of you and the world you see on the outside is one and the same. (Click to Tweet!) Don’t you forget about it. I Observe Therefore I Create

April 4, 2017

Imagine for a second that the life you are experiencing here has many versions. But you can’t see the other versions, therefore, you think there is only one. It is the one you observe every day. You wake up each morning and you think about this day, this life, this job, this house, this to do list. But what if there was another life? Many lives. Many versions of you. You have short hair, long hair, brown hair, blond hair. All the colors that exist. What if there were many different versions of this life and the only reason you didn’t experience the other versions is that you didn’t know they existed? And you didn’t observe them. You could not see them. Or think them. Because you didn’t know you could think up a whole universe. The truth is, there are many infinite worlds similar to the one you are experiencing now. There are many versions of you. When I think about it and try to understand it my head hurts. It is not easy to imagine that there is another me living in another house with different thoughts, experiences and needs. With a different destiny even.   Most people have heard of parallel universes through movies and science fiction books but even though these are supposed to be imaginary they are based on real science. My question has always been: how can we know that these exist and continue to live our lives the same way as if there is only one reality, when in actuality there are infinite versions of this reality? And if the number of these Universes is truly infinite, does that mean that there are parallel Universes out there, where everything in it evolved exactly the same as our own Universe did, except one tiny quantum outcome was different? Scientists say that the fabric of our universe is being disrupted by another universe. The discovery could provide proof of the multiverse theory, which says that there are many alternate universes. But what does it all mean to us if we can never explore another universe? If they don’t affect this life. According to quantum physics, the observer who is you can affect which universe or even which life will be experienced. In quantum physics all potentials exist. When you think of a goal, or someone you want to date, there is a universe with that version of your life being created. When we make a decision, a choice, all the other choices collapse and we only get to experience this one choice. The observer of a thought has a huge impact on the outcome of that thought. If for example you expect to fail at an exam then the outcome of the exam will be influenced. You increase the potential of the probability of failing. Neale Donald Walsch once said that: “Quantum physics tells us that nothing that is observed is unaffected by the observer. That statement, from science holds an enormous and powerful insight. It means that everyone sees a different truth, because everyone is creating what they see.” To be honest with you no matter how many scientists work daily for thousands of years to discover the truth of our universe the truth will always change. And you know why? Because the observers change. Every experiment is being observed by many different scientists and if there is truth in the Observer Effect then we will never ever get to a universal truth that stays the same.   But we have enough to know that observing something can affect the outcome of what we are observing. Our lives have infinite outcomes depending on which one we believe and think about. (Click to Tweet!) And believing this will ultimately change the trajectory of your life. It changed mine. Even though I don’t always succeed I do try to think about outcomes I want instead of all the things I don’t want to have happen. I hope you do too. Turn off Your TV. Turn on Your Consciousness.

March 28, 2017

I dream of an earth where we no longer rely on space and time to understand our experience in this body. I dream of a time when we can close our eyes and transport ourselves into other dimensions beyond boundaries and physical walls. Where we can fly by just thinking of it. I know deep down that one day we will look back at this period of time and gasp with laughter at the thought of getting on a plane for many hours to fly to Japan for example. Instead, we will be able to not only see Japan through our virtual reality technology that is connected to our bodies but we will also have mastered getting there with our mind. And trust me, Japan will not be your choice if you can travel to other galaxies.   When we look back at the evolution of our brain we find that over 1.9 million years ago we saw an expansion of the part of the frontal lobe that has to do with language. And because of our life complexity increasing, our brains grew even more out of need for everyday communication necessities and problem solving. But we have spent so much time trying to understand the human brain and our bodies. The time has come to explore consciousness and understand our evolution. There are many theories as to how consciousness was created.   One of them is The Attention Schema Theory (AST), which was developed in the past five years. “It implies that consciousness is the solution of processing too much information. Therefore, the brain had to evolve into a much more sophisticated mechanism.” But so many other theories try to prove that consciousness was here from the beginning and it created us.   To be honest with you I don’t know which version I prefer. Let’s look at another theory that points towards a consciousness that is as old as the universe itself. “The arguments about the origins and nature of consciousness are central to premonitions. For if consciousness is indeed identical with the brain – the curtain closes on premonitions. The reason is that the brain is a local phenomenon – i.e., it is localized to the brain and body, and to the present. This prohibits premonitions in principle, because accordingly the brain cannot operate outside the body and the here-and-now. But consciousness can operate beyond the brain, body, and the present, as hundreds of experiments and millions of testimonials affirm. Consciousness cannot, therefore, be identical with the brain.”   There are thousands of articles written making very valid points of the fact that consciousness is nonlocal and infinite. Not only that but there were experiments being done at NASA and CIA. The Stargate Project was the codename for a secret U.S. Army unit established in 1978 by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and SRI International to investigate the potential for psychic phenomena in military and domestic intelligence applications.   At the end of the day no matter the many articles, the theories and the speculations of whether consciousness lives inside our brain or far away from it, every human being will have their own experience with their own consciousness. My prediction is that whether the brain came first and then created consciousness or consciousness came first and created the brain it doesn’t really matter. Honestly, who cares? Now that it is here, how do we use it to advance our everyday life and our humanity? What matters is that we take the matters of consciousness very seriously and spend time accessing it and evolving it to places that are beyond our wildest dreams. Our responsibility is to stretch our imagination, our thought processes and speeds and allow the evolution to take place even further.   And to make this even more personal...your consciousness is now reading these words and there is a good chance it’s not doing it from inside your brain, even if it started there. We have enough evidence to believe that consciousness resides outside of time and space. I love evidence and science but sometimes they get in the way of experimenting and experiencing worlds beyond this one. Dimensions outside of time and space.   Why are we so afraid to test things out? I guess it is safer to live inside a routine, watch TV and think the same 60,000 thoughts we thought yesterday and the day before. What a shame. Not only for us but for our scientists who are so caught up in finding evidence to measure the invisibility and non locality of consciousness.   I am ok with not being certain about the location of my consciousness. I believe it resides here, there and everywhere else. Inside and outside of this illusion we call life. Even writing this blog is a very brain-like way of understanding the universe. If it was up to my consciousness to explain this there would be no keyboard, no words, not even thoughts. It would have already happened. But until then, be open to surprises, dream states and meditations that can take you on a journey beyond this reality. Turn off your TV, and turn on your consciousness. (Click to Tweet!) Anna’s Hidden Reality

March 21, 2017

Once upon a time, there was a woman named Anna who felt that life was not very fair. You see, not only had her husband left her for a younger woman but her boss at work just promoted someone who had been at the company for a short amount of time instead of her. Also, her friends didn’t invite her out with them anymore and her landlord sent her a letter to let her know that he would be selling the condo she was staying at, and she had 30 days to move out. Everything was going wrong, like it always did. She didn’t understand why she was being let go from everyone she cared about. She saw herself as a good person being born in a family who had no time for her. Her mom always favored her sister over her. She would often watch them laugh at each other’s jokes. She used to get just a quick hug goodnight and nothing more. She had tried to communicate her disappointment to her boss about not getting the promotion in the same way she tried to talk to her mom about being ignored. She would always start by saying “Why didn’t you choose me?” When her husband left her she didn’t even try to tell him anything because she knew she was always the one being left behind. Why should this relationship be any different? She kind of expected this to happen after all. One morning she woke up and she knew she had to leave it all behind. She could no longer handle all the rejection she got and decided to pack a small bag and just disappear from everyone’s life. She didn’t have her own car as she couldn’t afford it so she decided to go to the local bus station and find a bus that would take her as far away from her life as possible. As she got on the bus there was just one seat left right next to an elderly man. She had no choice but to sit there. The man glanced at her really quickly and then looked out of the window. Anna made sure she got her phone out of her bag so she looked busy just in case the stranger started a conversation. The last thing she needed was to have to talk to the old man on the bus. “Where are you heading.” The old man sitting next to her said and turned to look at her. “Just somewhere else, away from here,” She said and regretted it immediately. “Why don’t you like it here? I am Spencer and you are?” Spencer said and extended his hand to Anna. “I am Anna, nice to meet you,” Anna said and threw herself back to her phone shaking her head thinking that if only she could move seats. This is the last thing she needed right now. “I used to be like you many years ago,” Spencer said to her and Anna looked at him in a dismissive way as she would normally do with her mom or sister when they tried to understand her. “I don’t think so,” Anna said and pretended to look for something in her bag. “Why don’t you think so Anna?” “You don’t know me so you can’t possibly understand,” Anna said and looked around to see if there were any other seats available so she could move. “I too wanted to run away from my life a long time ago. I thought nobody liked me or cared about me. But I was wrong,” Spencer said and looked out of the window again. “Well, I don’t just think they don’t like me I know they don’t. Did your wife leave you? Did you get kicked out of your house? I am certain none of these things happened to you.” Anna said and grabbed her water bottle from her bag.   “My wife left me for my best friend,” Spencer said and Anna nearly spit out the water she was drinking from her bottle. “We invited him over for dinner one night and they had planned to tell me there and then.” “What did you do?” Anna said, surprised with Spencer’s response.   “I grabbed my jacket and left. I came back the next day when she was at work and picked up a couple of bags and ran away. Just like you are right now.” Anna was left with nothing to say. She was quiet for longer than she was comfortable with, but for the first time, she could not say that she had it worse. “I used to think everyone else had it better than me,” Spencer said as if he could read her mind. “I looked at the world like you do now. Life was unfair and out to get me.” “But it is out to get me,” Anna said defending herself a little louder than she wanted to. “You can’t trust your mind to tell you the truth, Anna,” Spencer said and now his whole body was turned towards Anna. “That is the only thing I have left to trust. My mind. I think you lost your mind Spencer and now you want me to lose mine. But that is the only thing I have left.” “Your brain is filtering your reality, Anna.” Spencer continued. “It is only showing you what is automatic and has been thought by you many times before. The more you think about something the more automatic it gets for the brain. Just because you are thinking something doesn’t make it true. It just means that your brain can repeat the same thoughts for as long as possible unless there is a very strong interruption. The brain does not like new thoughts, so it keeps using the old ones.” Spencer said knowing that Anna would dismiss him. (Click to Tweet!) “My struggles are not fake and how dare you suggest that,” Anna said and got up from her seat even though she knew she had nowhere else to go. “When did your husband leave you?” Spencer insisted in a very quiet voice. He knew this is the question the brain loves to answer without doing any work. He knew he could get her to sit back down again. The trick worked. It always did. “He left me 5 years ago,” Anna said and her face looked sad and empty all of a sudden. She stared at the floor and her eyes were fixed on her shoes as if the whole world around her disappeared. “It was a sunny day and I had no idea that my life was going to turn upside down.” Anna continued telling Spencer the story of when her husband left but it seemed as if she was not even on that bus. She was transported to the past and out of the present moment. “Hey Anna,” Spencer interrupted her and nudged her on the shoulder. But she didn’t stop, she continued to tell the story of that day 5 years ago. “Anna look at me,” Spencer said and finally got her to look up. “You went to the past and left this bus,” Spencer said with a half smile on his face. “I used to go into a trance like you when I visited my past, and for some reason the more I visited my past the more of the same I got in my present. More heartbreaks. More betrayals.” “What are you trying to say? That I should not talk about what happened to me?” Anna said furiously. “That’s not what I am saying,” Spencer said “But if I could let you see your face when you started talking you would think that your husband just left you last night, not five years ago. Here, let’s try again. Start telling me what happened and be present with it, tell me the story from the now.” Anna didn’t know what to do with this request. Her story was the same whether she told it from the past from the present or even the future. It didn’t change. He left her and she is heartbroken. She was starting to get annoyed with this new friend she made on the bus. But something deep inside of her told her to give this a go. “Well, I do remember it like it was yesterday but I know it wasn’t. I know he left me a long time ago and since then I did my best to survive. Sometimes I was very lonely and other times I surprised myself. I know he is not happy with his decision and that kind of made me happy. He regretted leaving and he came back begging me to take him back. I didn’t.” Anna said and a spontaneous smile showed up on her face for the first time in a while. Spencer noticed it and he knew that he was witnessing her shifting the inner reality. Even though he had done this many times before, it always looked like a miracle. He has taken this bus ride for as long as he can remember always excited to see who would sit next to him. “You are so strong and so wise to not let him back into your life, I rarely meet people as strong as you,” Spencer said knowing what he was doing in that moment in time. “Really?” Anna said in complete surprise. “I never saw myself like this before. But maybe you are right. I did not take him back and I really wanted to. This was the hardest thing I ever had to do.” And just like that Anna’s story about herself started to change. She started to wonder what else she had not been seeing about herself. What else was stuck inside her brain the old way and not the way it truly was. Anna spent some time deep in her thoughts and Spencer did not interrupt what was happening. As he knew exactly what was taking place. Anna was shifting worlds and realities. She started to see that her brain was just a machine. A machine that repeated the same reality over and over again. And in that moment, just like that, she remembered her mom telling her the same thing Spencer did a few moments ago. It was as if Spencer’s reflection of her released a reality that her brain was hiding. That she was stronger than her sister, sometimes her mom needed to spend some more time with her sister. Her mom loved her and admired her more than anyone else in the world and that reality was hidden from her for years. It was as if Spencer’s request to tell her story from the present moment revealed a truth that was buried. “Thank you for bringing me to the present Spencer,” Anna said and the smile came back. “I didn’t do much,” Spencer said “You were ready to see what has been hidden from you for so long. Getting on this bus on your way to a new life told me that behind the automation of your brain there lies strength and courage that you could not yet see. My job was to show you. “Where did you come from Spencer?” Anna said and for the first time in a while she felt chills. “You brought me here Anna,” Spencer said and he suddenly got up from his seat. “This is my stop.” Anna slowly moved out of the way to let him pass. “What will happen to me now Spencer?” Anna said with a concern on her face. “Whatever you choose Anna.” Christina Christina Rasmussen is the creator and founder of The Life Reentry® Institute, Second Firsts, The Life Starters and Star Letters.
